Evan Roberts departs CCO role at TBWAAustralia to launch creative start-up

After nearly five years at TBWAAustralia, chief creative officer Evan Roberts is set to depart the agency to launch his own creative start-up.
Evans first joined TBWA as CCO in 2020, charged with creative responsibility across the group’s agencies including TBWA Sydney, Eleven, Fleishman Hillard, Fabric, Integer and Bolt content.
Prior to TBWA, Evans spent just over six years at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne joining as CD and rising to ECD. In 2017 he jointly led the team that took home both Cannes Lions Global Agency of the year and D&AD Global Agency of the year. In that year alone he was awarded 56 Lions including two Grand Prix for campaigns including TAC ‘Meet Graham’, Snickers ‘Hungerithm’ and Airbnb ‘Until We All Belong’. The ‘Meet Graham’ road safety campaign for Transport Accident Commission (TAC) was the most awarded creative campaign in the world that year, and also picked up the D&AD Black Pencil. Evans was also ranked joint #1 Creative Director in the world in Cannes Lions 2017 rankings alongside Stephen de Wolf.
Prior to Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Roberts spent six years at GPY&R Melbourne (now VML), which saw him rise to the role of creative director off the back of internationally awarded work for the Australian Defence Force.
