INNOCEAN’s US subsidiary Canvas Worldwide named ‘Media Agency of the Year’

Some good news for the INNOCEAN network with it’s US subsidiary, Canvas Worldwide, being named the 2025 Media Agency of the Year by global advertising and marketing publication, Campaign US.

As a media services agency specializing in media strategy and investment, Canvas has solidified its position as a leading player in the U.S. market by receiving this award from Campaign US.

Campaign US selects awardees annually based on leadership, business performance, and organizational culture. Top brand marketers and leading independent journalists serve as judges.

Canvas was recognized for its data-driven strategy, rigorous process leadership, business performance, innovative work, organizational culture and exceptional client performance. In particular, its ability to deliver customized, measurable business outcomes for clients was highly commended.

For example, Canvas has supported Kia in achieving seven consecutive years of growth and helped six of its models hit all-time U.S. sales records. The agency also played a key role in Genesis breaking into the top 10 luxury automotive brands in the U.S. within just six years of its launch. Additionally, U.S. real estate tech giant Zillow reported a 13% year-over-year revenue increase in just the first quarter of its collaboration with Canvas.

Canvas was founded in 2015 as a joint venture between INNOCEAN and Horizon Media, the largest independent media agency in the U.S., to accelerate INNOCEAN’s global media expansion. In 2022, INNOCEAN acquired 100% ownership of Canvas, strengthening its independent media capabilities in the fiercely competitive North American market.

Canvas has consistently achieved notable accolades since its founding. It was named Breakthrough Agency of the Year by Adweek in 2020, and Most Innovative Media Agency by Campaign US in 2021. Additionally, it was included in Ad Age’s Best Places to Work list in both 2024 and 2025. With key offices in Los Angeles and New York, Canvas also operates regional offices in cities such as Chicago, Dallas, Denver, and Atlanta.

An INNOCEAN spokesperson, said: “This recognition is a testament to Canvas’s proven track record with major clients and partners, and is expected to positively impact the agency’s new business development going forward.” Now, with nearly a decade of developing and refining its media capabilities in the U.S. through Canvas, INNOCEAN has begun to leverage this expertise and expand its core media capabilities across its global network. This initiative has already kicked-off in the Americas – including Canada, Mexico and Brazil – with plans to continue the project in India.

Canvas CEO Paul Woolmington, said: “We are fully embracing our mission to ‘challenge the comfortable’ in a world of change, through breaking from the conventions of the past and/or making what we do better every day, in every way. Immense gratitude to our incredible team, clients, and partners; it always takes a community. Ultimately, it’s our unbreakable culture that is the difference — that makes the difference. Drop mic!”
