Independent creative agency Salvo Jakarta has created a new film for Indonesian herbal cough remedy Komix that resembles a high-end lifestyle or automotive commercial more than a typical medicine ad.

 

The tension is dramatized through dynamic storytelling through the story itself, showing how one small cough can become a full-blown social spiral. But just as the pressure builds, the film delivers its most unexpected move — a clever twist in the form of Indonesian comedian Dustin Tiffani, who appears mid-sequence as the physical manifestation of how others begin to perceive you when you cough.

Tiffani, well-known for his persistent coughing during public appearances and live shows, is both instantly recognizable and deeply symbolic — turning a moment of unease into something surprisingly relatable. The transformation is not a punchline, but a powerful metaphor: how quickly perception can shift, and how a cough — however harmless — can isolate you.
