SATS celebrates SG60 with docuseries showcasing the people behind the parade

As Singapore celebrates its 60th year of independence, SATS proudly unveils a new three-part docuseries that goes beyond the parade grounds to explore the question: Why do our people choose to march?
Titled “Before the Applause” the series captures the personal motivations, reflections, and pride that drive SATS employees—many of whom work behind the scenes in aviation and food services—to step forward and represent the company in the National Day Parade (NDP).
Through candid interviews, the docuseries reveals the inspiring reasons why SATS staff—from all roles and backgrounds—choose to march in the National Day Parade, uniting their diverse contributions on the tarmac, in the kitchen, and now, on the parade square.
“Our people are the heart of SATS. This series is a tribute to their unwavering service—not just to SATS, but to Singapore,” said Tan Chee Wei, Chief Human Capital Officer, SATS Ltd. “By sharing their stories, we hope to honour the quiet heroes who embody the values we celebrate each National Day.”
The three-part docuseries will roll out across August on SATS’ social media platforms, offering a rare glimpse into the people who keep our SATS and Singapore moving.
Parts 2 and 3 will be released later today and 12 August respectively.
