Dentsu Indonesia elevates Defri Dwipaputra and Rangga Immanuel to CCXO: Lucky Handoko returns

Dentsu Indonesia has announced key leadership changes in its creative business including Lucky Handoko, who returns to the network as General Manager of Dentsu Creative Indonesia, while Defri Dwipaputra and Rangga Immanuel are promoted to joint Chief Creative & Experience Officer (CCXO) roles.

In his new role, Handoko will bring deep experience in communications planning, brand consulting, insights and data. His appointment signals a seamless blend of continuity and forward momentum, combining strategic sharpness with a strong cultural understanding.

Joining the creative helm, Dwipaputra and Immanuel are appointed as the agency’s new CCXOs. They represent a new vanguard, tasked with not only defining the creative vision but also shaping the future of client and consumer experiences. The duo will lead the charge in creating culture-defining work by nurturing talent and pushing the boundaries of innovation by integrating emerging technologies such as AI to unlock new creative possibilities and designing next-level brand activations that go beyond traditional campaigns. They have a proven track record, having been the creative minds behind award-winning work for Dentsu Indonesia, such as IKEA’s Bonding Instructions, Samsonite’s Scholar Panel.

Elvira Jakub, Country CEO, dentsu Indonesia, said: “Many of our leaders have grown within the network. They understand both the local market and have been piloting global level creative works. We believe in continuity with ambition and evolution. As such, our new creative leadership appointments are not only a testament to that but also part of a broader strategy that honours dentsu Indonesia’s rich 50-year legacy while accelerating our future growth. At the heart of our success is a clarity of purpose and discipline of execution. We are not chasing growth blindly; the business is strong because it has been shaped deliberately over the years with a focus on client-centricity and a culture of trust.”

Sanjay Bhasin, CEO, dentsu Southeast Asia, said: “These appointments underscore our belief in the strength of local leadership to drive growth at home while shaping regional and global relevance. It’s about deepening what already works and elevating those who lead with clarity and care. This team knows the heart of our business — our people, our clients, and the values that underscore who we are as dentsu. With them at the helm, we will continue to build something enduring — from Indonesia to the region and beyond.”

This milestone marks a powerful intersection of legacy and renewal, as the network looks ahead to the next decades of growth. The new creative leadership team is positioned to build on this strong foundation, driving the next phase of Dentsu Indonesia’s evolution.
