VML named Network of the Year in Campaign Brief’s The Work 2025: The runner-up is TBWA followed by DDB, Dentsu, McCann and Ogilvy

VML has climbed from its #3 ranking in 2024 to claim this year’s APAC Network of the Year in Campaign Brief’s The Work 2025, recording a strong 148 Acceptances. TBWA takes runner-up position, followed by DDB at #3, Dentsu at #4, McCann Worldgroup at #5, and Ogilvy at #6.

 

VML’s rise has been impressive: from #12 in 2021, to #7 in 2022, #5 in 2023, and #3 in 2024—culminating in the top spot this year.

Top-performing VML offices included VML Australia (35 Acceptances) and VML Thailand (34), ranking #4 and #5 respectively in the APAC agency table. VML Manila and VML Singapore both secured 20 Acceptances, while VML New Zealand added 18. Further contributions came from VML Taiwan (10), VML Malaysia (6), and VML Indonesia (5).

VML agencies were ranked #1 in Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand, and #2 in Thailand.

TBWA rose from its #4 network ranking last year to #2 this year, with nine offices contributing to a total of 102 Acceptances—the broadest network participation in 2025. In 2023, TBWA was ranked #1, following #5 in 2022 and #2 in 2021.

Leading the way were TBWA\SMP Philippines (24) and TBWA Hakuhodo Japan (23). Other key contributors included TBWA Thailand (14), TBWA New Zealand (13), and TBWA Hong Kong. TBWA Media Arts Lab India scored 5 Acceptances, while TBWA Group China, TBWA\Singapore, and TBWA Media Arts Lab Thailand each earned 4.

DDB finished close behind with 99 Acceptances, taking the #3 spot. DDB ranked #2 in 2024, #3 in 2023, #4 in 2022, and #3 in 2021.

DDB Mudra India (41) and DDB Australia (32) led the network, ranking #1 in India and #2 in Australia, respectively. Additional contributions came from DDB Group Singapore (12), DDB Group Hong Kong (8), and DDB Tribal Worldwide Philippines (2).

At #4, Dentsu recorded 83 Acceptances, driven by strong showings from Dentsu Creative Taiwan (28) and Dentsu Creative Philippines (19). Dentsu Creative Thailand (14), Dentsu Redder Vietnam (13), Dentsu Creative Aotearoa (6), and Dentsu Creative Australia (3) also contributed.

At #5 is McCann Worldgroup has jumped up from outside the top 20 Networks in 2024 to #5 ranking this year – largely due to significant contributions from McCann Workgroup India and McCann’s Australian affiliate Hero.

McCann India ranks at #10 in APAC with 32 Acceptances and Hero Australia scored 17 Acceptances. The Network also saw contributions from their Tokyo, China and Singapore offices with 5 Acceptances each. McCann Philippines also made the cut with 1 Acceptance.
