Flipkart and Talented bring abandoned cart to life for Big Billion Days 2025

Building on its core idea, Yahaan Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, Flipkart’s Big Billion Days campaigns have always celebrated the element of surprise. This year, in collaboration with creative agency Talented, the brand takes that concept further by making an everyday experience, the abandoned cart, the unexpected hero of its film.

The idea is simple, during Big Billion Days, anything can happen. Even a cart that was abandoned 10 years ago can come back to life. By taking this everyday quirk of online shopping and turning it into a full-blown story, Flipkart makes the familiar unexpectedly entertaining.

The new film, directed by Gabriel Ghoderao, dramatises the discovery of India’s 10-year-old abandoned cart – one that had been sitting un-checked since 2015. Inside Flipkart’s office, veteran employee Joshi and his enthusiastic sidekick Deshpande stumble upon this decade-old cart filled with gems from another era: an iPhone 6, an 8gb pen-drive, and a badminton racket. What follows is a comical yet heartfelt mission to track down its owner, Abhishek Tripathi, and get him to finally check out.

Pratik Shetty, VP Growth and Marketing at Flipkart, said: “Big Billion Days is a cultural moment for India. The idea of reviving an abandoned cart was both nostalgic and fresh, something every shopper relates to, and yet no one has ever seen brought alive this way. It perfectly reflects our belief that during Big Billion Days, truly anything can happen.”

Abhishek Kumar, Brand Strategy at Talented, added: “The brilliance of this idea is in its simplicity. Every Indian has left something behind in their cart; we just asked: what if one of them became a legend? The characters of Joshi and Deshpande allowed us to make it larger-than-life while keeping humor intact.”

Ghoderao said: “The joy for me was in reimagining the mundane. An abandoned cart became our lead character – not just a prop, but a vessel for storytelling. From the music that gave it rhythm, down to the smallest scratches and quirks that made it real, we leaned into every detail. It was about showing that even the most overlooked objects can carry humour, personality, and heart if you choose to look closely enough.”

With the Big Billion Days starting on 23rd September 2025, Flipkart once again shows that when it comes to India’s biggest shopping festival, Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai.
