Chetan Shetty joins Publicis Groupe Indonesia as Managing Director, Growth: Leo Indonesia adds Nadia Yuliani + Carlos Guto Kono to creative team

Publicis Groupe Indonesia has appointed Chetan Shetty as Managing Director, Growth – a newly created role that underscores the Groupe’s momentum in one of the fastest-growing consumer markets in the world. Leo Indonesia, part of Publicis Groupe Indonesia, is also welcoming creatives Nadia Yuliani and Carlos Guto Kono to the team.
Shetty brings nearly two decades of experience to Publicis Groupe Indonesia having held leadership roles at both creative and media agencies – most recently McCann and FCB Jakarta, where he was Managing Director, and previously Wavemaker (GroupM) Jakarta, where he was Partner – Content. From launching content divisions and influencer practices to delivering award-winning work, he has a track-record in driving digital business transformation for a diverse portfolio of brands.
According to Sony Nichani, CEO of Publicis Groupe Indonesia, Shetty is tasked with driving growth through the seamless integration of data, media and content for clients: “In a time of major marketing shifts fuelled by tech innovations and changing consumer behaviours, we’re investing in leaders who drive transformative integration for our clients. Yuliani joins as Senior Creative Director, Leo Indonesia, returning to the agency having begun her career as a copywriter at Leo Indonesia almost 20 years ago. From helping brands leap into digital during the early days of mobile to driving creative business transformation for Southeast Asian brands, her impressive portfolio spans the FMCG, telco, personal care and food and beverage sectors, amongst others. In her new role, Yuliani will partner closely with William Mathovani, Creative Partner at Leo Indonesia.
Kono also joins Leo Indonesia as Senior Creative Director, bridging strategy, culture and innovation while bringing a diverse international perspective to every challenge. Originally from Brazil, Kono has worked at Leo Mexico and Publicis Brazil, and lived in Sao Paolo, Seoul and Germany, collecting trophies at prestigious shows such as Cannes Lions, LIA, One Show, Effie Awards, and The Webby’s along the way.
He brings 25 years of experience across industries such as FMCG, automotive, eCommerce, and food & beverage, and reports to Ravi Shanker, Chief Creative Officer, Leo Indonesia and Publicis Groupe Indonesia.
Located in a market of over 280 million people, Publicis Groupe Indonesia is an important Southeast Asian creative hub for a growing portfolio of brands. To build on the Groupe’s recent growth in Indonesia, Shetty, Yuliani and Kono will work closely with clients to drive impact and help Indonesian creativity to shine on a global stage.
