Boomerang Awards 2025 sets new benchmark with global jury and focus on sustainability

The Boomerang Awards 2025, the premier digital awards show of the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP), ushers in a new chapter this October with the theme “WEiMAGINE.” This year’s show aims to reframe what digital creativity can be, backed by the most powerful jury lineup ever assembled for a Philippines-based awards competition.

 

Widely known in the industry as The Booms, the awards bring together for the first time an extraordinary roster of industry leaders from the Philippines, APAC, and beyond. Leading the charge are Jury Presidents Joey Tiempo, Founder and CEO of Octopus&Whale (Philippines), overseeing Creative Excellence; Firrdaus Yusoff, Head of Creative at Forsman & Bodenfors (Singapore), for Overall Digital Excellence; and Arindam Bhattacharyya, Chief Strategy Officer of Dentsu Indonesia, for Media Excellence.

The Special Categories will also feature some of the region’s most respected industry leaders. Among them are Merlee Jayme, Chief Creative Officer and Founder of Jayme Headquarters, for Diversity, Equality and Inclusivity; Kartika Guerrero, Head of Media at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, for Digital Leader of the Year and Pivotal Transformation; Emily Abrera, President of the Foundation for Communication Initiatives, for Sustainability; and Anny Havercroft, Global Marketing Lead for Cross Market Solutions at TikTok, for Short-Form Videos.

Adding to the milestone, The Booms will, for the first time, be supported by The One Show’s global jury platform—ensuring judging that meets world-class standards of efficiency, transparency, consistency, and fairness.

All of this builds toward the highly anticipated Boomerang Awards show on October 17, 2025 at the Sheraton Manila Hotel Ballroom, Newport, where the best of the best in digital creativity will be honored.
