Swiggy and Havas Play turn Pujo into a festival for all, including the city’s four-legged devotees

Swiggy has reimagined the spirit of Durga Puja with a unique on-ground activation. This year, Swiggy launched ‘Bhog Elo Char Chakay’, a mobile Durga Puja pandal that travelled across Kolkata to serve specially prepared, dog-friendly Pujo bhog to street dogs. The campaign was executed in collaboration with Havas Play India, the sports, entertainment, and content arm of Havas Media Network India.

Over the course of two days, the mobile pandal visited multiple shelters and neighbourhoods, distributing nutritious offerings to over 400 street dogs. Designed in the likeness of a traditional pandal, the mobile installation was adorned with festive décor, complete with Maa Durga’s idol and dhak beats, creating an atmosphere that brought the joy of Pujo to the city’s four-legged residents.

Mayur Hola, Vice President- Brand, Swiggy, said: “Pujo is a time of sharing and togetherness, and with our on-ground activations every year we ensure we take the celebrations to a larger set. In 2023, we delivered bhog to the elderly who could not visit the pandals and in 2024, we took Pujo to the villagers and Tiger Widows of the Sundarbans for the first-time ever. This year, we wanted to extend the spirit with ‘Bhog Elo Char Charpeye Der’- a heartfelt reminder that our four-legged friends are also Maa’s children, as much as we are.”

Uday Mohan, COO, Havas Media India & Havas Play, said: “Durga Puja is a celebration of compassion and community. With ‘Bhog Elo Char Chakay,’ Swiggy has beautifully extended the spirit of the festival beyond people, to include our four-legged companions on the streets. At Havas Play, we are proud to partner in bringing alive such culturally resonant ideas that not only touch hearts but also redefine how brands participate in India’s most loved festivals.”
