Steve Coll departs the Aussie CCO role at M+C Saatchi as Melbourne CCO Emma Robbins steps up
After only two years in the role M+C Saatchi has parted ways with CCO Steve Coll and promoted Melbourne CCO Emma Robbins to national Chief Creative Officer
Coll replaced Cam Blackley in November 2023 from Meta. For the previous four years Coll served as Meta’s head of Creative Shop for Australia and New Zealand, where he collaborated with agency creatives and marketers to deliver innovative campaigns across Meta’s diverse suite of platforms.
Prior to Meta, Coll was partner/CCO at With Collective joining in August 2015 from Droga5 Sydney, where he had a brief stint as ECD. Prior to Droga5 Sydney, Coll held the role of ECD at Havas Worldwide Sydney.
During her time at M+C Saatchi, Robbins has led major work for clients including Commonwealth Bank and Lifeblood. Her campaigns have been recognised for both creativity and effectiveness, contributing to the agency’s local and global success.
Robbins was promoted to Melbourne CCO in August.
Before joining M+C Saatchi, Robbins held senior creative roles at The Shannon Company and Clemenger BBDO. She has also judged internationally at top award shows such as Cannes Lions, Clio and One Show, and is an active industry mentor.
The news follows a major restructure at M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ, which has seen several senior leadership changes in recent months. Earlier this year, Dani Bassil joined as CEO, replacing Justin Graham, who stepped down after 12 years with the business. Prior to that, former Chief Creative Officer Michael McEwan departed to join Droga5 Melbourne, and more recently, Richard Morgan exited after two years as ECD of Greenhouse Collective – M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ’s bespoke, integrated agency model for Woolworths Group.
