When AI gets a personality: Juice animates monday.com’s iconic llama hero

Juice visual effects and post-production studio delivered full CG animation and post-production for monday.com’s global “Meet Monday sidekick – The AI You’ll Love to Use” film, giving new energy and personality to the brand’s beloved llama hero.

The llama, monday.com’s established brand hero, takes centre stage once again in the company’s latest campaign “Meet monday sidekick – The AI You’ll Love to Use”. Reimagined through the lens of high-end CG and visual storytelling, the character returns with more emotion, movement, and tactile realism than ever before.

The entire digital performance was designed and animated by Juice, who handled the full VFX and post-production scope for the campaign. Appearing in a bustling office setting, the purple llama embodies monday.com’s AI assistant, a smart, approachable co-worker that represents the brand’s belief that technology should feel friendly and effortless.

The film’s playful tone is amplified by a humorous rework of “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”, the iconic anthem from Dirty Dancing. The familiar tune sets an unexpectedly funny rhythm to the llama’s confident moves through the office.

Juice’s artists built the character fully in CG, balancing humour and intelligence through detailed fur simulation, expressive animation, and refined lighting integration. Every gesture, glance, and motion was sculpted to feel believable while preserving the llama’s whimsical charm.

“The challenge was to give this creature the emotional range of a human co-worker while keeping it unmistakably fantastical,” says Radoslaw Idczak, VFX producer at Juice. “We wanted viewers to see not just a mascot, but an intelligent presence that represents how monday.com’s AI supports real teams with playfulness, and precision.”

Each shot was treated with care, from reflections and dynamic lighting to subtle environmental cues, ensuring the llama feels grounded in the live-action world. The visual tone remains joyful and modern, a mirror of monday.com’s promise that AI should be something you love to use, not just rely on.
