Leo Hong Kong wins Agency of the Year and ROCK YU Taipei takes out Independent Agency of the Year at LIA Chinese Creativity Awards

London International Awards (LIA) has announced its 2025 Chinese Agency of the Year winners, recognising two distinct pillars of the Chinese-language advertising industry. Leo Hong Kong has been named Chinese Agency of the Year, while ROCK YU Taipei has been crowned Chinese Independent Agency of the Year.

These accolades are determined by the points accrued from winning statues across the LIA Chinese Creativity competition, which was judged recently by a jury of top-tier Chinese language creatives at the Encore @ Wynn in Las Vegas. These awards celebrate the absolute best in Chinese Creativity globally. A total of 5 Gold, 15 Silver, 17 Bronze, and 15 Finalist were awarded this year.

Leo Hong Kong: Chinese Agency of the Year
Leo Hong Kong demonstrated an exceptional standard of creative excellence and their ability to deliver multifaceted, groundbreaking work for their clients. This win solidifies their position as a leading creative force within the network agency landscape.

“We are immensely proud to name Leo Hong Kong as our Chinese Agency of the Year,” said Barbara Levy, President of LIA. “Their work this year was consistently brilliant, showing deep strategic insight and flawless execution. They have set a remarkable benchmark for Chinese creativity within the region and on the global stage.”

ROCK YU Taipei: Chinese Independent Agency of the Year
In a powerful testament to the strength of the independent scene, ROCK YU Taipei has earned the title of Chinese Independent Agency of the Year. This award honors the highest-achieving agency not owned by a major holding company. ROCK YU Taipei’s success was driven by a series of daring and innovative campaigns that captured the jury’s imagination, winning statues across categories like Online Film and Branded Content.

“The rise of ROCK YU Taipei is a story we are thrilled to celebrate,” added Gordon Tan, Asian Partner of LIA. “Their fearless, independent spirit and pure focus on the power of the idea have resulted in a body of work that is both fresh and effective. They are a beacon for independent agencies everywhere, proving that brilliant ideas can come from any corner of the globe.”

This dual recognition underscores the vibrant diversity of the Chinese creative industry. It highlights a market where established giants and agile innovators are both producing world-beating work.
