BBDO Guerrero Philippines elevates Nikki Sunga, Andi Olbés and Emman Carandang to Group CDs

BBDO Guerrero Philippines has promoted Nikki Sunga, Andi Olbés, and Emman Carandang to Group Creative Directors, recognizing their consistent creative excellence, industry leadership, and contribution to some of the agency’s work.

Fueled by a competitive spirit that began with her early years as a young creative representing the Philippines, Sunga has grown into a voice that resonates both locally and on the global stage. She has led award-winning work for major brands and continues to rise in influence as a juror and mentor in the industry. Sunga has served on final juries for the Gerety Awards, Spikes Asia, and most recently, Cannes Lions 2025. As a See It Be It alumna, she’s part of a global network pushing for gender equality in the creative field. Locally, she was named Director of Social & PR for the Creative Guild of the Philippines under the 4As in 2024 and continues to support and mentor emerging talent through talks and local initiatives with the Creative Guild and DMAP. She’s currently taking her Creative MBA with Cannes Lions to sharpen the business side of the craft and help shape what’s next for creative leadership.

Olbés brings over a decade of creative storytelling and leadership to her new role. A former Cannes Young Lion and Spikes Asia Young Spikes rep, she’s had her hand in some of the agency’s most awarded work for The Department of Tourism, MARS, and PepsiCo. Today, she heads up creative for BPI, Ayala Land Premier, Chowking, Doña Elena, Lay’s, and Mountain Dew, where her team’s recent sustainability work, “Scrapboards” and “Play The Dew” audio campaign earned the brand its first international wins and recognition at Cannes Lions, D&AD, LIA, Gerety, & ONE Asia. In 2025, she joined the Clio Awards and MAD Stars juries, further establishing her as one of the region’s emerging creative voices.

Carandang has been with BBDO Guerrero for over a decade, helping shape the agency’s reputation for strong design and visual storytelling. Formerly Head of Art, he has led campaigns that have been recognized at Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, Mad Stars, D&AD, and The One Show. His work has earned top honors such as Gold, Best in Show and Grand Prix at the Adobo Design Awards. Carandang has also served as a juror at the New York Festivals, AdFest, Kidlat and the One Asia Creative Awards.

David Guerrero, Creative Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of BBDO Guerrero, said: “Nikki, Andi, and Emman have proven themselves to be exceptional creative leaders. Their work has helped shape not just our agency, but the wider creative community. Their new roles are a recognition of their passion, their craft, and the culture of excellence they continue to build.”

Francine Kahn-Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer at BBDO Guerrero, said: “Our people have always been the core of BBDO Guerrero’s success.
