U.S. Embassy Creator’s Mela 2026 draws 5,000 creators and influencers across Nepal

More than 5,000 young creators and influencers gathered across Kathmandu, Chitwan and Nepalgunj for the 2026 edition of the U.S. Embassy Creator’s Mela, marking the largest content creation festival staged in Nepal to date.

Now in its fourth year, the U.S. Embassy Creator’s Mela 2026 was delivered in partnership with Storm Communications Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and strategy and influencer agency Elephant & Castle. Under the theme “Vision to Venture,” the program focused on equipping Nepal’s growing creator community with practical skills to build sustainable careers in content, entrepreneurship and brand partnerships.

This year’s edition saw registrations triple compared to 2025, reflecting rapid growth in Nepal’s creator economy. The program featured more than 25 sessions led by 46 speakers, spanning content development, storytelling, audience growth, monetisation models and the transition from visibility to long-term influence. A strong emphasis was placed on sustainability and professionalisation, addressing topics such as pricing strategy, financial literacy, brand expectations and AI-supported production workflows.

High-profile figures including Priyanka Karki and Aayushman Desraj Joshi shared insights on maintaining relevance and managing creative fatigue, while Shark Tank Nepal investors Cabinet Shrestha and Anand Bagaria discussed what brands and businesses look for when partnering with creators. Panels also tackled issues such as content rights, client management and building long-term commercial relationships.

Alongside its educational agenda, the Mela incorporated live performances and entertainment programming, positioning the event as both an industry forum and a broader celebration of Nepal’s creative culture.

Storm Communications Nepal led event management and execution across the three cities, deploying more than 60 team members, while Elephant & Castle oversaw strategy and influencer engagement. Supporting partners included telecom brand Ncell, Khukuri, Agni Group (Mahindra’s national distributor), Manarama and Xtreme.

With record attendance and expanded industry participation, Creator’s Mela 2026 signals the accelerating maturation of Nepal’s creator ecosystem and the growing alignment between digital creativity and commercial opportunity.

The event also reaffirmed the U.S. Embassy Nepal’s commitment to nurturing a generation that does not just create content, but creates impact.
