Flash Bomber makes Bangkok run with moving billboard for Running Man Thailand

When iQIYI Thailand launched Running Man Thailand, Flash Bomber Bangkok challenged one of Bangkok’s most familiar advertising formats by creating a billboard that actually ran.

Bangkok is often described as the capital of billboards — a city where every corner, skyline and highway is packed with outdoor media. So when Running Man Thailand, the Thai adaptation of the legendary Korean variety show Running Man, arrived, the question was simple: how do you stand out in a city already full of ads?

Rather than adding another static billboard, FLASH BOMBER built the launch around a simple but bold idea. If the show is about running, the billboard should run too.

Teaming up with iQIYI Thailand, the agency turned traditional outdoor media into The Running Billboard, a mobile installation that moved across Thailand’s most iconic landmarks such as Wat Phra Kaew, Giant Swing, Democracy Monument etc. As it travelled through the city, streets became stages and traffic became the audience. The moving structure echoed the fast paced missions and seven superstar cast members of the show, making the medium feel like part of the program itself.

The campaign cut through one of Asia’s most crowded media environments, sparked organic conversation online, and turned the premiere into a citywide moment.

All it took was one running billboard to break through a city full of them.
