Unilever Indonesia’s oral care brand Pepsodent has launched TeethTalk Academy for Dentfluencers, a social media academy designed to transform oral care enthusiasts into Indonesia’s first generation of trusted, engaging ‘dentfluencers’. Pepsodent created the initiative to support its most important community – helping dental professionals to polish their content making skills to communicate oral health advice in the social media era.

 

Developed by Omnicom Advertising’s dedicated Unilever team, TeethTalk Academy is a workshop that aims to close the dental creator gap by training dentists, dental undergraduates, and oral care advocates to combine their dental expertise with compelling and digitally creative social content that can lead to better dental practice and healthier oral care habits.

Pepsodent kickstarted the Academy with the first workshop in March 2026, with a bespoke syllabus on niche discovery, lighting and editing, on-camera presence, content formats, short-form storytelling techniques, personal branding, trendjacking, and social engagement skills. To lead the programme, Pepsodent flew in The Singing Dentist, one of the world’s most renowned dental influencers, alongside leading Indonesian creators Zaki, Twomann and Vinco. The inaugural workshop was designed as the first step in building a scalable, always-on community of “dentfluencers”.

This is just the beginning, and we see strong potential to expand the initiative to more markets over time.”

Indonesia continues to face significant oral health challenges, with many people avoiding regular dental visits due to fear or misinformation. Approximately 96% of Indonesians did not visit a dentist in the past year, while only 2.8% of the population brush their teeth correctly.

The TeethTalk Academy initiative builds on Pepsodent’s ongoing evolution from a trusted family hygiene brand to a culturally fluent leader in modern oral care conversations, in collaboration with Omnicom Advertising’s dedicated Unilever team. Following its launch, Pepsodent plans to scale TeethTalk Academy across Indonesia and other markets in the region, building a growing community of “dentfluencers” who can make credible oral care content more engaging and accessible.
