TBWA\Singapore brings on board creatives Robert Nelk and Mark Peeters from Amsterdam

TBWA\Singapore has appointed creatives Robert Nelk and Mark Peeters who will work with Toby Thurston, TBWA\Singapore’s Head of Technology, to expand and develop the agency’s technology offering across the business.

Both the senior art director and copywriter hail from Amsterdam, where their passion and affinity for technology saw them create globally-renowned campaigns including The Next Rembrandt, which won two Cannes Lions Grand Prix; and the Bottle With A Mission campaign, turning Heineken bottles into navigational tools for the Heineken Museum. The creative duo were most recently at agencies Achtung!, McGarry Bowen and J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam.

Toby Thurston, Head of Technology, TBWA\Singapore (pictured centre) said, “As brands become more competitive, the demand for technology – infused creative work is rapidly growing. It’s great to have Robert and Mark join us to evolve and boost our discipline’s offering across projects already in progress and future output that meets client’s needs.”

Nelk (pictured left) and Peeters (right) commented, “We came to TBWA\Singapore because of the incredible opportunity put before us. This is one of the most exciting places to be in the technology space, with an obvious thirst from clients for innovative and brave work. Technology motivates us, but on a deeper level, how it affects culture, society and seeks solutions is where we want to make a difference.”

Ara Hampartsoumian, CEO, TBWA\Group Singapore said, “Expanding our creative discipline with people that are both talented and passionate about technology is a long-term investment that complements this agency’s output. We want to give our clients the real-time cultural impact their business deserves through the right balance of creative and technology.”
