Stephen Douglas rejoins Directors Think Tank in newly created Executive Director role

Highly regarded production company Directors Think Tank Group have made a major statement by bringing the region’s most experienced and renowned production and post production professionals Stephen Douglas back in the newly created role of Executive Director.

DTT Co-founder and director, Maurice Noone, said: “We’re extremely delighted to have Stephen rejoining our team during this exciting phase of growth and development. Bringing someone of his caliber back into the DTT fold increases our capability and allows us to spread our wings even further, both regionally and internationally.

Noone said during this global health crisis, they’ve continued to thrive and used their time well.

“Whilst we’ve remained busy shooting and producing award-winning work for our agency and client partners, we’ve also been focusing on improving our craft even further and deepening our knowledge of the latest cutting-edge techniques and technologies. And we’ve bolstered the team by hiring some of the hottest and freshest young talent available, enhancing the creative edge that sets us apart.

“But now it’s important to prepare for the future when the economy rebounds and the borders finally open. Our creative platforms and talent are already back in action with the aim of further establishing Malaysia and SE Asia as the preferred shooting location destination.”

DTT’s EP, Pat Singh said: “Stephen’s trademark passion, drive and energy will have a positive effect on our culture and our business. His extensive networks throughout Asia and beyond, along with his major successes in both production and postproduction will further strengthen DTT’s reputation as a leading force in the industry”.

Douglas said accepting the opportunity to return to his friends at DTT was a no-brainer.

“I’ve spent the last six years in Asia building strong, enduring relationships. And it’s been extremely rewarding to help the agencies, film studios and direct clients I’ve had the privilege of working with, to achieve great success. After some time out in Australia, I’m returning to the region I call home with a renewed fire in my belly. And I’m very much looking forward to helping DTT and our clients and agency partners make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead and achieve even greater success and accolades.”

Campaign Brief’s ‘The Work’ 2020, recently named Directors Think Tank APAC Production Company of the Year, as well as being named Production Company of the Year in both Malaysia and Indonesia for the last two years.
