Bangkok Art Directors Association appoints GREYnJ UNITED Bangkok’s Asawin Phanichwatana as President

Bangkok Art Directors Association, commonly referred to as BAD, is the creativity hub of all major network and independent agencies in Thailand. With a school division, it’s also the association that attracts and trains new creative talents. GREYnJ United’s Asawin Phanichwatana has recently been elected President of BAD by a committee made up of some of the most prominent industry figures.
In his new role, Phanichwatana will oversee the growth of the country’s advertising on both local and global scales. He hopes to connect and work with professionals and experts everywhere, in advertising and all related fields, in order to nurture the next generation of talents, and to move the ad scenes forward.
As one of the most awarded creative ever in the country, Phanichwatana is no stranger to putting Thai ads in the global spotlight. Most will be familiar with his work, as his notable works have earned him countless accolades over the years, in addition to him being on jury and grand jury panels multiple times in regional and global awards shows.
He’s known to produce campaigns that are insightful, relevant, surprising and entertaining, and always in tune with the times. Which is why they are famous for being the talk of the town.
As a BAD student himself 20 years ago, he now joins the ranks of Thai advertising legends including Thor Santisiri, Jureeporn Thaidumrong, Suthisak Sucharittanonta, and many more who served as BAD Presidents before.
