Sri Lanka’s most awarded creative, Shyan Gershon joins Publicis Groupe Sri Lanka

Publicis Groupe Sri Lanka has appointed the country’s most awarded creative, Shyan Gershon, to Associate Creative Director role.

 

Gershon joins Publicis with a wealth of experience in communication from advertising, branding, design, digital, film, and product innovation.

Previously over the past seven years, Gershon honed his creative capabilities at TBWA\Sri Lanka. He was at the forefront of developing several iconic campaigns that brought glory to the agency as well as to Sri Lanka. Recently, one of his most noteworthy campaigns was the ‘Aura Incense Barricade’, which to date is his most-awarded work, which offered a non-violent solution to the human-elephant conflict in Sri Lanka made headlines across the globe.

Gershon said: “The Publicis philosophy ‘power of one’, essentially, this translates to individuals with different expertise coming together to work towards making a great idea even better and taking it to the highest heights. That type of collaboration excites me, and I am looking forward to creating some great work in 2022.”

A young creative mind, Gershon’s skill, passion, and hard work have earned him local and global recognition. He brought glory to the country when he was crowned as the Gold Winner for South Asia’s Young Achiever of the Year at the Agency of the Year Awards 2020. He also made his mark on a global platform by winning awards in recognized award ceremonies – these include Spikes Asia, Adfest, One Show, ADC, D&AD, Ad stars, The Work, PHNX Awards, Epica, and One Show Asia.

Currently, Gershon ranks as the number one Creative Director by Campaign Brief Asia. His talents have ensured that his previous agency, TBWA\Sri Lanka also ranked as number one as Campaign Brief Asia’s Agency of the Year Sri Lanka for 2021.

Gershon believes that imagination can spark ideas that inspire the world. His focus is on triggering a positive change, with his creativity being channeled towards impactful problem-solving. This belief continues to fuel Gershon’s career path as he invests his imagination to develop creative content that drives social betterment.
