All smiles for TBWA\HAKUHODO Tokyo winning the Grand LIA + Gold for McDonald’s “No Smiles” in Creative Strategy and Transformative Business Impact categories: 7 Silver and 6 Bronze for Asia

LIA has announced the winners of the Creative Strategy and Transformative Business Impact, led by Jury President Suzanne Powers, Founder of Powers Creativity New York. TBWA\HAKUHODO Tokyo took home the Transformative Business Impact Grand LIA and a Gold for their McDonald’s Hiring, “No Smiles” campaign. Asia also won an additional 7 Silver and 6 Bronze statues.

 

The Jury for Transformative Business Impact gave away only 18 Statues including: 1 Grand LIA, 6 Gold, 6 Silver, and 5 Bronze statues, as well as 4 Finalists.

Two Silvers were awarded to Asia for Ogilvy India’s “Vi Human Network Testing Network” and Ogilvy Shanghai’s “Open All Ages”

The inaugural Creative Strategy category honors the process of uncovering insights and solving problems that inspire impactful creative ideas. The Jury awarded a Grand LIA in to AKQA Amsterdam for Pink Chip “The First Index to Put a Price on Bias”.

Asia also scored multiple Silver and Bronze statues. Two Silvers were awarded to McCann Worldgroup Gurgaon for Buckaroo Footwear’s “Fit My Feet”.



Leo Burnett Kuala Lumpur’s clever Chinese New Year campaign, “Heineken Heidden In Plain Sight”, has picked up Silver, along with Ogilvy Shanghai’s “Open All Ages” for Morning Shanghai Project.

Ogilvy Singapore’s “Transition Body Lotion” for Vaseline won Silver. the agency also won a Bronze for Shea Moisture’s “The Visa Loophole”.

Five Bronze statues were also won by agencies in Asia: GIGIL Manila’s “Cool” for CoCo Tea Milk Tea, VML Singapore’s “In Her Name” for Lux, Publicis Groupe Hong Kong’s “Souvenired Media” for Cathay and two Bronzes for Ogilvy India’s “Vi Human Network Testing Network” for Vodafone Idea Ltd.

The Jury awarded a total of 58 Statues including: 1 Grand LIA, 16 Gold, 20 Silver, and 21 Bronze statues, as well as 11 Finalists in the Creative Strategy Category.
