Storm Day promoted to Accenture Song New Zealand lead and CEO of The Monkeys Aotearoa

The Monkeys Aotearoa chief business officer Storm Day has been appointed as the New Zealand lead for Accenture Song and CEO of The Monkeys Aotearoa. Day’s promotion comes shortly after the news that The Monkeys will rebrand to Droga5 as of next month.

Day brings over 20 years of experience in New Zealand’s advertising and marketing landscape, with a track record of working on major brands like ASB, Meridian, Tourism New Zealand and Fonterra. Prior to joining The Monkeys Aotearoa in early 2022, Day spent over two and half years at Special New Zealand joining in late 2019 as head of account service before being promoted to general manager in early 2021.

Storm’s promotion aligns with Justin Mowday’s leadership of Accenture New Zealand, who co-founded The Monkeys Aotearoa in 2021 with Damon Stapleton. This appointment positions her to guide The Monkeys Aotearoa through its transition to Droga5, aiming to strengthen its reputation as a purpose-driven agency with deep creative expertise.

Storm’s appointment follows other recent leadership changes within Accenture Song, including Mark Green’s appointment to global CEO of Droga5 based out of New York; Bronwyn van der Merwe’s promotion to lead Accenture Song ANZ and Matt Michael stepping up as CEO of Droga5 ANZ.
