Telstra and Aldi in Australia release new Christmas campaigns that you will want to see

Two hot new Christmas campaigns dropped today in Australia – Telstra and Aldi. Both are well worth checking out.

 

Continuing their great run of top campaigns on Australia’s largest telco, Bear Meets Eagle On Fire and +61 has release Telstra’s next chapter of its new platform ‘Wherever we go’. The Christmas campaign focuses on the real magic of Christmas – spending time with those most important to us.

Directed by Steve Rogers through Revolver, the film tells the story of an accidental singing superstar – Little Donkey – who goes on a whirlwind journey across the world, before realising he misses his family at Christmas time.

Says Micah Walker, Bear Meets Eagle On Fire: “We wanted to tell a Christmas story without falling into the holiday cliches. Hopefully the heart of this rings true and people get a bit of giggle along the way.”

Bear Meets Eagle On Fire recently were awarded the London International Awards Independent Agency of the Year title for Australia and New Zealand, largely for a previous Telstra campaign – ‘Better on a Better Network’.


The second great Christmas campaign released today is via BMF Australia for Aldi. The spot encourages Aussies to ‘go a little extra this Christmas’.

It is directed by Hamish Rothwell through Good Oil, and highlights ALDI as the prime destination for feasting, gifting and decorating this festive season.
