ADFEST set to again host The World Producers Summit at ADFEST 2025

ADFEST are hosting the World Producers Summit again at COLLiDE at the ADFEST 2025 Festival at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall, Royal Cliff Hotels Group in Pattaya, Thailand. The festival runs from Thursday 20 March to Saturday 22 March 2025. The World Producers Summit is again chaired by Steve Davies, Chief Executive of the Advertising Producers Association (APA), the UK producers association, a-p-a.net.

And taking place immediately after the World Producers Summit is ME Group’s Connecting Producers in Asia: Unlocking Production Collaboration Opportunities, chaired by ME Group Asia co-founders and managing partners, Lien Dang & Yann Williot.

The World Producers Summit takes place on Thursday 20 March at 13.00 – 15.30 in Room Pattaya 3, PEACH. Connecting Producers in Asia: Unlocking Production Collaboration Opportunities takes place 15.40 – 16.40.

The World Producers Summit brings the region’s top producers together to gain valuable insights, brainstorm possible solutions to common issues and explore new ways of working. This year, the summit holds a special importance. Change in the world of production has stepped up again in how commercials are viewed, how they are consumed, and how they are made. AI has established itself in the world of production and accelerated both the rate and range of change.

New challenges and new opportunities are constantly emerging. This affects everyone involved in the marketing industries whether they are working in production companies, agencies or brands commissioning commercials. The World Production Summit is a chance for everyone who understands the critical role production has in creating films that are effective for advertisers to share experiences and thoughts on future opportunities.

The World Producers Summit is open to every ADFEST delegate who is interested in the future of production, whether they are from a production company, an agency, a client or anywhere else. It was created by the AICP, APA and EPA and also takes place in Cannes each year during Cannes Lions. Its purpose is to bring industry people together to gain valuable insights, brainstorm possible solutions to common issues and explore new ways of working. It is a chance to get ahead with knowledge and be ready for the opportunities that change might bring.

The first World Producers Summit at ADFEST was held in 2012 as a forum for production company owners and stakeholders in the Asia Pacific and Middle East to discuss specific issues they encounter as the industry evolves and globalises further, and to examine solutions to current and emerging business challenges. It is an opportunity for every ADFEST delegate to participate in those discussions and share an Asian perspective.

Connecting Producers in Asia: Unlocking Production Collaboration Opportunities will be a fascinating open discussion for those who want to learn more about the production capabilities and processes across Asia.

It will give production houses owners and producers in Asia a forum to highlight some of the main strengths or specificities of their own shooting destination, as well as gaining an understanding of the production capabilities and processes in other Asians’ territories. This will enable more trans-border collaboration opportunities to keep proposing efficient production solutions to clients and agencies.

This summit is all about giving attendees a better understanding of the local production execution insights in the Asian region and initiate potential production collaboration projects by sharing valuable information about pre-production and production processes; production capabilities; key crew skillsets (including directors and DOPs); logistics, locations, landscapes and climate; and production incentives available.

As the summit is an open discussion, each attendee is free to prepare their own presentation showcasing local insights and is invited to bring a short deck of two slides featuring an introduction to their company and the main USP of each production location.

Lien Dang brings to ME Group a decade of background experience in events and advertising; Yann Williot, nearly two decades of experience in a range of production houses. The pair came together first in 2007, when they founded boutique production house, ECHO Films in 2007, building it into one of the most reliable advertising production houses in Saigon. They co-founded ME Group Asia in 2020 with Tony Nguyen & Phuong Tran, from MAY Production. It is now Vietnam’s leading commercial production hub, home to three production houses, one photography studio, one table-top and motion control studio, and one social media content agency, with presence in Singapore and Bangkok.

Pre-registration is required for both and you must be a registered delegate of ADFEST 2025 to sign-up. Reservation is strictly first-come-first-served and seats are limited to only 30 delegates.
