The announcement is part of a wider evolution of AKQA’s global leadership to deliver deeper integration and impact for clients. Other key appointments include:
• Miriam Plon Sauer, returning to AKQA as Chief Strategy Officer, bringing a strong track record in connecting creativity to commercial outcomes and mentoring high-performing strategy teams.
• Ben Royce, former Google AI lead, joining as Chief Technology Officer, focused on embedding AI, data and creative technology into scalable brand solutions.
• Jonathan Bolden, promoted to Chief Transformation Officer, after leading global transformation programs at AKQA since 2016.
These new leaders will work closely with AKQA’s Global Chief Creative Officers Shu Hung, Diego Machado, Peter Lund, and Hugo Veiga, as well as regional leads, to deliver unified creative, technology and strategic thinking across all markets.
The appointments follow AKQA’s new global structure, introduced in late 2024, designed to streamline its capabilities and strengthen its ability to deliver innovation at scale.
