Ida Mak rejoins TBWA Hong Kong as new GM

Ida Mak has returned to TBWA Hong Kong as its General Manager. With over 20 years of experience in agencies and a proven track record of leading impactful campaigns for global brands, Mak brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the agency.

 

Mak’s extensive career spans diverse sectors, including branding, through-the-line marketing, digital and social campaigns, shopper marketing, and event management. Her cross-functional experience, gained in Hong Kong, China, and across Asia-Pacific regional hubs, positions her as a dynamic leader who thrives in multicultural and ever-evolving environments.

Mak previously worked with TBWA Hong Kong in two tenures, most recent of which was as Group Account Director where she managed campaigns for high-profile clients such as Lee Jeans, Mastercard, Wrangler, and Wyeth Illuma from 2011 to 2017, earning recognition for her innovative through-the-line solutions. Earlier, from 2005 to 2009, she contributed to the success of clients like Standard Chartered Bank and Levi’s as Senior Account Manager.

Prior to her return, Mak was Associate Head of Account Management at Sunny Idea Hong Kong, where she played a pivotal role in building the agency’s Creative Solutions department. There, she led campaigns for brands like Fonterra, HSBC Life, and General Mills, driving business growth and delivering innovative communication strategies.
