Dentsu Inc Tokyo wins Gold Lion in Industry Craft category for Nikki Whisky ‘No Labels’

Dentsu Inc Tokyo’s captivating “No Labels” campaign for Nikki Whisky has won a Gold Lion in Cannes’ Industry Craft category.

The creative strategy centered on the founder’s belief that whisky is more than a drink — it’s a spirit that inspires joy and connection. The campaign removed all labels, both literal and metaphorical, from the product and its consumers. Through striking photography and visual storytelling using silhouettes, the brand conveyed a message of inclusivity and emotional resonance. This was supported by a suite of assets including print and OOH ads, a brand book, promotional items, videos, and the concept for a flagship bar and shop in Tokyo.

In the category, Artplan Sao Paulo’s “Nigrum Corpus” took out the Grand Prix and only 4 Gold, 7 Silver and 10 Bronze were awarded. 779 entries were received in this category.

To raise awareness about racism in healthcare education, the IDOMED initiative created a book combining illustration, 3D design and AI to create a visual language that blends the precision of classic medical manuals with a more human approach.

Matthias Spaetgens, Chief Creative Officer, Scholz & Friends, and Jury President, said: “The Grand Prix in Industry Craft awarded to the project Nigrum Corpus is a remarkable testament to creative excellence across multiple facets. At its core, it is driven by a powerful idea that is brought vividly to life through exceptional book design, typography, copywriting, illustration, and craftsmanship in every detail. Holding the book in our hands, we could feel the passion of the creatives behind this outstanding work.”
