Flash Bomber Bangkok creates Long Lay’s “Good Passenger” initiative to combat ocean waste
Long Lay, a Thai boat tour operator, has launched the “Good Passenger” campaign – an initiative aimed at tackling marine pollution while promoting sustainable tourism. Developed in partnership with creative agency Flash Bomber, the campaign blends storytelling, design, and environmental responsibility to engage travelers in the fight against ocean waste.
At the heart of the campaign is the Good Passenger figure—a handcrafted, human-shaped basket made from natural materials. Installed on every Long Lay boat, the figure functions as both a visual symbol of environmental awareness and a practical tool for collecting marine litter during tours. Tourists are invited to join the effort by gathering debris they encounter at sea and depositing it in the Good Passenger basket, which is later returned to shore for proper disposal.
More than a CSR initiative, Good Passenger reflects Long Lay and Flash Bomber’s shared mission to inspire change through action. With Thailand’s coastal beauty increasingly threatened by marine debris, the campaign calls on travelers not just to enjoy the ocean—but to protect it. By transforming passive sightseeing into active stewardship, Long Lay hopes to foster a deeper connection between people and the sea they explore.
