Jaz Lee leaves Ogilvy Malaysia for executive creative director role at Leo Malaysia

In a major coup for the Leo Malaysia, Jaz Lee has joined the agency as Executive Creative Director, tasked with driving transformative creativity for some of the agency’s key clients across Southeast Asia. He previously was ECD with Ogilvy Malaysia.

Splitting his time predominantly between Malaysia and Vietnam, Lee will unlock the creative firepower of Leo Constellation across key clients, reporting to Emir Shafri, Chief Creative Officer of Publicis Groupe Malaysia. He will also work closely with Firzan Mulafer, Managing Director at Publicis Communications Malaysia, and Paolo Garcia, Chief Creative Officer, Publicis Groupe Vietnam.

Shafri says: “Even back when we first crossed paths at Leo, Jaz has always been one to relentlessly chase the next level, not just in the work, but also in himself. It’s great to welcome him home as he brings his fire to spark what’s next for us, and even better that we get to help shape the next chapter of his journey.”

Mulafer adds: “As one of Malaysia’s top creatives, Jaz has the perfect credentials we need to blend Leo’s infamous HumanKind creativity with the Groupe’s Power of One capabilities. This formidable formula will transform our clients for the future, and bring Southeast Asian creativity to the world.”

Lee first joined the Leo family at the age of 19. He worked his way through the ranks to Executive Creative Director, before his homecoming to Leo. In 2021, at 25 years old, he was named in Forbes Asia’s 30 under 30 Media, Marketing and Advertising list and in Tatler’s list of Asia’s Most Influential individuals in 2022.

His work has won over 150 awards from some of the world’s most prestigious award shows such as Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clios, London International Awards, ADFEST, MAD STARS, Spikes Asia, Effies, Appies and the Kancil awards.

In 2017 and 2020, Lee also ranked in Campaign Brief Asia’s Top 10 Most Awarded Creatives in Malaysia and was Malaysia’s #1 most awarded creative in 2023.

Lee joins Leo Malaysia in his new role from early August 2025.
