Hyrul Anuar and Accenture Song Bring AEON Credit’s Story to Life with Directors Think Tank
From kampung roads to city skylines, AEON Credit’s story unfolds through the lens of director Hyrul Anuar, in collaboration with Directors Think Tank and Accenture Song. Established in 1997, AEON Credit Service has grown into one of Malaysia’s leading non-bank financial service providers, with more than 60 branches nationwide. With the launch of Malaysia’s first credit card for bikers, the film tells stories of everyday Malaysians through heartfelt moments that capture the spirit of a tribe. Along the way, it reflects AEON’s journey and how it continues to grow while staying closely connected to the people it serves.
Shot over four days across six very different locations, the film journeys through the many layers of Malaysia. This mix of kampung, city, and natural backdrops shows how AEON is present in all walks of life, from the smallest purchases to the biggest milestones. Visually, the film is warm and cinematic, inspired by the idea of belonging anywhere — a reflection of AEON Credit’s role in turning small actions into meaningful journeys.
For director Hyrul Anuar, the script stood out because it wasn’t just about numbers. “It was about people,” he explained. “From kampung roads to cityscapes, I wanted to show how AEON Credit is part of everyday life. Four days, so many locations — it was a challenge, but also a joy.”

Producer Lee added: “A project of this scale needs a strong team behind it. Managing multiple locations in such a tight schedule was intense, but the collaboration between crew, agency, and client made it smooth. At every step, we felt we were capturing something true to Malaysia’s spirit.”
From the agency’s side, Accenture Song’s creative team emphasised the importance of human connection in the brand story: “AEON Credit has always been about more than financial services. It’s about enabling possibilities. We wanted the film to show that whether it’s a small everyday purchase or a life-changing decision, AEON Credit is there paving the way to infinite journeys ahead.”
More than just a brand story, this film captures the spirit of Malaysia — diverse, hopeful, and always moving forward.
