Directors Think Tank Singapore’s Rajay Singh collaborates with BLKJ Havas SG on Great Eastern’s ‘WE ARE ONE’ launch film
In close collaboration with Directors Think Tank founder Rajay Singh, BLKJ Havas Singapore crafted Great Eastern Singapore’s new brand film — an anthem of resilience that blends cinematic storytelling with raw emotion, offering an intimate yet universal reminder of the strength to keep moving forward through life’s hardest storms.
The film follows the journeys of four individuals, each navigating their own challenges — setbacks, struggles, moments of doubt. Instead of giving in, they find the courage to push forward, to laugh, to dance, even when the world feels heavy. Their ability to rise comes from knowing they’re not alone; that Great Eastern Insurance stands quietly behind them, offering protection, faith, and the confidence to carry on.
The heart of the film is carried by the iconic track “Rise Up” by Andra Day, reimagined to lift the emotion higher with every beat. Paired with Rajay Singh’s powerful visuals and his focus on real human stories, the music makes the campaign feel raw, moving, and unforgettable.
“We shot the film over four days, moving between real-life moments and stylized flashbacks that show the struggles each person faces,” said Singh. “That mix of reality and drama makes the emotions more powerful, while still leaving space for hope. The collaboration with BLKJ Havas was also key — with so many ideas and discussions shaping how the story came to life. I’m really thankful to the team for their support throughout.”
This campaign really came together through the close partnership with BLKJ Havas Singapore. The team brought fresh ideas, contributed greatly to shaping the story, and helped make sure the emotion feels honest and relatable.
“Our close collaboration made sure the film wasn’t just about insurance, but about the confidence and support Great Eastern gives people every day. It’s a campaign built on teamwork — and that’s what makes it resonate even more,” said Singh.
