4As Malaysia reports 36% membership increase, expanding to over 80 agency brands
The 4As Malaysia has reported a 36% increase in membership over the past 15 months, bringing its total to more than 80 agency brands and reflecting growing confidence in the association.
Tan Kien Eng, 4As President, said: “The 4As Malaysia has demonstrated 50 years of effective industry stewardship, and continues to build on this legacy. The surge in new members underscores the industry’s recognition of 4As Malaysia as the leading organisation for advocacy, knowledge-sharing, and setting professional standards. In the context of the evolving landscape of Malaysia’s creative industry, 4As Malaysia is dedicated to providing resources to help all our members thrive in a rapidly changing market.
“Membership in the 4As has its privileges. The 4As range of awards including the Malaysia Effie Awards, the global gold standard for marketing effectiveness; the Putra Brand Awards, also known as the “money can’t buy” People’s Choice Awards; and the Kancil Awards, Malaysia’s premier accolade for creativity, lets Marketers recognise that 4As member agencies can measurably deliver campaigns with effectiveness and impact.”
The most recent agencies to join the 4As as new members are WoFollow, Green-i Multimedia, Skribble, Blwn, and Trinoviks. Other agencies which have joined the 4As in the past 15 months include Juno, Chariot, Team Lewis, and Tinker Society.
Kristian Lee, 4As Vice President, said: “The new members represent a new generation of progressive, digital-first, and creative-driven businesses. Many of them have fresh business models that blend creativity with technology, data, content, and social engagement – shaping how brands connect with modern audiences.”
Choong Chee Leong, CEO of GREEN-i, said: “Becoming a member agency of the 4As Malaysia is a meaningful milestone for GREEN-i. It reflects our team’s commitment to creativity, innovation, and professionalism in the digital and advertising industry. This recognition belongs to our people – our dedication of our team, the trust of our clients, and the strong partnerships whose trust and collaboration continue to drive us forward.”
Teng Chan Leong, CEO of Skribble, said: “5 years ago our dream was simple; solve our clients’ problems efficiently and creatively. We had a sketchbook of ideas and the grit to take one step at a time. One client led to another, small wins led to bigger names. Today, that first line has carried us to the big leagues. To all of us, this membership is a recognition that you are of the 4As calibre. We already know that, and now the world does too. This is not a full stop, it is a colon to the next trajectory.”
Mark Lee, CEO of BLWN, said: “Our journey began with the belief that creativity, when driven by purpose and strategy, could lead the way. Becoming a 4As member is more than recognition; it’s a commitment to elevate creativity, champion our craft, and grow alongside peers who share the same fire and faith in this industry.”
Gunasegaran Krishnan, CEO of Trinovik Labs, said: “Joining the 4As marks an important step in Trinovik Labs’ journey as we evolve at the intersection of creativity, technology, and transformation. It reinforces our commitment to shaping ideas that not only move brands but also move industries forward. We believe the 4As represent the highest standard of creativity and professionalism in our field, and we’re proud to be part of it.”
Through its multifaceted approach, The 4As Malaysia creates value by providing industry guidance and leadership, raising standards and professionalism, fostering continuous professional development for the attraction and retention of agency talent, including networking opportunities and knowledge sharing, promoting commercial creativity and its effectiveness, and by being the Government’s principal information source and advisor on advertising.
