Resmed encourages early detection of sleep apnea with “Don’t Snooze the Snore” film

Resmed, a global leader in digital health and sleep technology, has launched a new film under its awareness campaign – Don’t Snooze the Snore. The film aims to shift public perception of snoring from being dismissed as a trivial or humorous habit to being recognized as a potential sign of a serious sleep disorder, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

The film opens with a series of relatable scenes including a movie theatre, a meeting room, and an airplane, where people are seen snoring loudly, each with a “snooze” button humorously placed on their forehead. Their companions, colleagues, or even flight attendants casually tap the button to stop the sound, treating snoring as something to silence, not solve. The narrative culminates in a poignant moment at home, where a woman watches her partner gasp for air mid-snore, realizing that some snores can be a cry for help.

The film closes with a compelling message: “Don’t Snooze the Snore. Some snores can be a cry for help.” The film encourages people to take Resmed’s Home Sleep Test, a simple step that aids in identifying sleep apnea, an underdiagnosed condition that affects millions worldwide.

“With this campaign, we want to change how people see snoring, from a harmless sound to a serious health issue that deserves attention,” said Sandeep Gulati, General Manager Resmed India. “Our goal is to empower individuals to act early and seek help through easy diagnostic tools like Resmed’s Home Sleep Test. Better sleep truly means a better life.”

Through this initiative, Resmed continues its mission to make quality sleep accessible and to drive awareness around sleep-related health issues. By transforming how people perceive and respond to snoring, the brand hopes to inspire timely action, early diagnosis, and healthier lives across India.
