Omnicom merger changes continue with Valerie Madon stepping down from CCO role at McCann

Following recent Omnicom Advertising Asia merger moves Valerie Madon has stepped down from her role as chief creative officer at McCann Worldgroup Singapore and chief creative officer for McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific.

Madon, one of Asia’s most high profile and respected creative leaders, joined McCann Worldgroup in May 2023 from her previous role as the Director of Creative Shop, SEA & Emerging Markets at Meta.

Her 20+ year career spans senior network roles at Havas, JWT and VMLY&R, along with two stints at Meta/Facebook. She has judged and been awarded at all major shows including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, New York Festival, Effies, Spikes Asia and AdFest.

Drawing on her experience at Meta, Madon’s achievements at McCann Worldgroup include strengthening McCann Content Studios APAC by blending data-driven insights with platform creativity, securing social-led wins for brands like L’Oréal in Thailand.

Under her leadership, McCann Worldgroup became a Top 5 Cannes Network in APAC (2024) and following year rose from below the Top 20 to Top 5 in Campaign Brief’s The Work Rankings (2025)

She was also named Creative Leader of the Year by Creativepool beating over 100 global leaders and winner of Creative Captain at the 2025 Campaign Women Leading Change Awards.

Madon’s departure comes as McCann and MullenLowe Singapore are set to combine under the leadership of CEO Paul Soon and ECD Daniel Kee. Soon and Lee were previously part of the leadership team at MullenLowe Singapore. Gonzalo Olivera will become president of the merged entity from 1 January. Olivera was previously managing partner at MullenLowe Singapore.
