Kymechow Hong Kong and One Sly Dog behind new corporate film for Link Asset Management
Indendent Hong Kong creative shop Kymechow has teamed up with production company One Sly Dog Films to launch a new corporate film for client Link Asset Management to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
The film, part symbolic, part literal, recalls the sometimes challenging path the company has had to navigate since its listing in 2005, drawing on real events to depict a company which has worked against many odds to build, grow and expand. At the core of the film is a voiceover script written as a poem, designed to reflect, lift and inspire. The unusual aspect of the development was that three of the key people involved – Carol Lam, Director of Corporate Brand at Link, Chris Kyme, Co-founder and creative director at Kymechow, and Sylvester Song, Director, One Sly Dog Films, are all ex creative colleagues and have worked together at various agencies in Hong Kong.
Kyme added: “Getting a working relationship whereby all parties are on the same wavelength, and striving for the same excellence with a lot of trust and mutual respect, is not common in our industry, and makes a big difference. The fact that Carol is both client, and also a respected, award-winning creative director in her own right, meant we were constantly being pushed for all the right reasons.”
Lam said: “We’re very proud of this 20th anniversary brand film which represents a moment of reflection that honours our roots while looking ahead-celebrating the resilience, creativity and partnerships that have carried us, dedicated to everyone who has walked this journey with us.”
The film, which has both Traditional and Simplified Chinese versions, was launched at an internal company event, before going public across the company website and various social media channels.
