Ensemble unveils community-focused ‘Project Lift-fluencers’ campaign for OCBC
Ensemble, the full-fledged creative agency under Omnicom Media Malaysia, has unveiled ‘Project Lift-fluencers’ with OCBC, a six-part social series featuring stories of revitalisation and the shared success of Malaysians who uplift their communities.
The campaign forms part of OCBC’s mission of #SamaSamaBangkit (a motivational phrase meaning “Let’s Rise Together”), focusing on community empowerment and the personal fulfilment that comes from helping others through a spirit of shared purpose.
Eddy Nazarullah, Creative Director of Ensemble, said: “Across Malaysia, there are everyday people who uplift their communities without recognition, without applause, and without asking for anything in return. They make others rise, even when they’re struggling to stand themselves. This campaign celebrates real impact, not fame. Stories of shared ambition, families, communities and culture, are all brought to life in under 90 seconds, in documentary-style form. Honest, heartwarming storytelling.”
Ann Lim, Head of Brand & Communications for OCBC Malaysia, said: “For us at OCBC, enabling people and communities to realise their aspirations is what truly matters the most. We stand for something greater; we believe in Purpose. Purpose isn’t just about realising your dreams alone; it’s about lifting others along the way. Hence, we were very excited to showcase these ordinary Malaysians who are doing extraordinary things to uplift their communities in this campaign.”
The campaign was brought to life through a series of six short films on social media, in partnership with Human Edition, a unique project by Shi Han, that unpacks meaningful human stories around Malaysia.
The features in the series include:
1. Humans of Lenggong – Nash, a former globe-trotting hotelier who returned to his kampung (hometown), revitalising his community through local heritage experiences.
2. Humans of Langkawi – Shi Han, an architect who quit her full-time job to tell stories on Langkawi Island. She is the founder of Human Edition, a project that spotlights the lives of individuals living on Langkawi Island.
3. Humans of Langkawi – Rita, a full-time mom who started a modern fashion business using traditional Mengkuang craft
4. Humans of KL – Driv, who founded the KL Art Book Fair, a cultural movement that empowers the local art community and provides a space for Malaysian artists to shine.
5. Humans of PJ – Sarjit, the founder of Stand Pie Me, a social enterprise that provides training, employment and mentorship for young adults with special needs.
6. Humans of KL – Jenn, with Oliver and Andrew, co-founders of LocalPasar, a Malaysia-based startup that works closely with Orang Asli communities to introduce regenerative farming methods, bridging food transparency with tech and sustainable practices.
