THE SHOUT GROUP creates Hari Raya short film for guardian Malaysia encouraging gifts that matter
This Hari Raya, guardian Malaysia turns its attention to a gesture many have long taken for granted. Created by THE SHOUT GROUP (FCB SHOUT) Malaysia, the brand’s latest festive campaign, titled ‘Seikhlas Pemberian, Seindah Lebaran’ (Sincerity in Giving, the Beauty of Raya), reimagines what it truly means to give during Malaysia’s largest festive celebration.
At the heart of the campaign is a poignant film built around a childhood tension. A young girl, filled with anticipation, finds herself quietly heartbroken after believing she has been overlooked by her grandmother when Duit Raya is distributed among the cousins. As the story unfolds, what first appears as disappointment slowly reveals itself as something far more meaningful. With a little help from guardian, the grandmother gifts her granddaughter something more enduring than money – the invaluable gift of beauty, confidence and well-being. Anchored in emotion and subtlety, the film gently reminds viewers that while Duit Raya may delight in the moment, it is care that lingers long after the envelopes are opened.
