dentsu X launches ‘The Creator Catalyst’ to power scalable creator marketing
dentsu X has launched The Creator Catalyst, a new playbook and applied approach designed to help brands turn fragmented creator activity into a connected engine for relevance, participation and incremental growth. Designed for the Algorithmic Era, where culture moves fast and attention is earned, The Creator Catalyst reframes creators from a channel into a structured growth system, giving brands the tools to scale creator marketing with clarity, consistency and measurable impact.
According to dentsu’s Consumer Navigator[i] research, nearly two-thirds of people engage with creator content, rising to 82% among Millennials and 85% among Gen Z. At the same time, WARC[ii] reports that 60% of marketers struggle to identify creators who genuinely fit their brand. Despite rising investment, many brands lack a system to scale creator effectively. The Creator Catalyst playbook addresses that gap. As the creator economy continues to expand, projected to reach $528 billion globally by 2030[iii], brands must move beyond episodic influencer campaigns toward structured systems designed for speed, relevance and performance.
The Creator Catalyst playbook outlines a three-part approach based on the core tensions that can limit creator effectiveness:
Casting moves brands beyond surface-level creator selection toward intentional ecosystem design. Instead of choosing creators based solely on reach or engagement, brands build coordinated line-ups where each partner has a defined role and objective. Powered by dentsu’s proprietary Creator & Trends Studio (CATS), the process combines AI-led discovery and trend modelling to make creator selection data-driven, repeatable and defensible.
Culture ensures creators are embedded early in ideation, not added at the distribution stage. By aligning creative development with real-time cultural momentum and amplifying through solutions like Meta’s Partnership Ads and Reels Trending Ads, brands can extend impact beyond the volatility of organic reach. Dentsu research shows influencer-led content captures up to 73% more attention than brand-led ads, reinforcing the value of strategic creator integration.
Commerce connects influence to measurable business outcomes. Using dentsu’s ICON framework, brands track the journey from influence through to conversion and brand impact. Creator activity is integrated into full-funnel optimisation systems, enabling clearer performance visibility and scalable growth. Data referenced in the playbook shows that structured use of Partnership Ads can drive higher purchase intent, lower CPA and stronger brand performance.
Shenda Loughnane, Global Brand President, dentsu X, said: “The media landscape hasn’t just changed, it’s been fundamentally rewired. In the Algorithmic Era, distribution is no longer guaranteed by budget alone. Feeds are personalised, attention is selective, and reach is earned through relevance. If brands want to matter, campaigns on their own aren’t enough. They need a content engine built for the speed of culture, not the speed of approvals, a system that delivers ideas designed to travel across platforms, formats and moments. Fast enough to keep pace, while distinctive enough to be remembered.”
Nick Baughan, Director of Global Agencies at Meta, added: “Creators are a critical lever for brand building today. As brands invest more in creator partnerships, it’s essential to have a clear structure for approaching these relationships and maximizing their impact. The Creator Catalyst provides a practical framework that helps brands build native, meaningful partnerships at scale, while ensuring performance can be measured and optimized.”
The launch reflects dentsu’s broader Media++ strategy, connecting media, culture and commerce into a unified growth loop. It also builds on dentsu’s existing creator infrastructure, including Dentsu Influence, its AI-enabled influencer management capability. While Dentsu Influence provides the operational tools to manage creator partnerships at scale, The Creator Catalyst introduces the strategic framework that defines how those partnerships are structured, amplified and measured. At the centre of the model is dentsu’s Creator & Trends Studio (CATS), an intelligence and discovery platform developed with Meta and Google that identifies emerging cultural signals, trending topics and rising creators across platforms. By combining trend identification, creator discovery, partnership recommendations and activation in a single workflow, CATS enables holistic planning and activation and helps brands identify relevant creators earlier and execute collaborations at the speed of culture with measurable impact.
