Leo Hong Kong kicks off LIA strongly scoring two Gold Statues for ‘Back to Kai Tak’

LIA has unveiled the winners from the the Ambient & Activation, Billboard, Print and Poster category, chaired by Jury President Aaron Starkman, Global Chief Creative Officer and Partner, Rethink Communications. The big winner from Asia is Leo Hong Kong, who picked up two Golds and a Silver statue in the Ambient & Activation category for ‘Back to Kai Tak’ for Cathay.

 

The only other statue winner from Asia was The Nine Shanghai, with two Bronze Statues for Shenzhen Tourism Bureau, China ‘Fascinating’.

Ambient & Activation recognizes brands using relevant spaces through experiential design, activation and immersive engagement. This year, the jury awarded a Grand LIA, seven Gold, 10 Silver and five Bronze Statues, alongside nine Finalists. The Grand LIA went to a piece of work created by BETC Paris and AKQA for “Unsponsored” created for Levi Strauss & Company.

Celebrating creative large-format outdoor work, whether static or interactive, the Billboard category saw a Grand LIA, four Gold, five Silver and four Bronze Statues, plus five Finalists being awarded. Rethink, Toronto captured the Grand LIA for the Heinz Ketchup campaign titled “Look Familiar?”; “Coincidence?” and “Remind You of Something?”

Print recognizes work created and released for printed publications, including magazines and newspapers. The jury honored the category’s standout work awarding two Gold, four Silver and two Bronze Statues, together with one Finalist.

Recognizing static and interactive posters placed indoors or outdoors, Poster entries were awarded three Gold Statues, two Silver and one Bronze, along with one Finalist.
