KFC Thailand unveils New Era with new brand identity and restaurant experience

After more than 42 years alongside Thai consumers, KFC Thailand, the country’s No.1 fried chicken brand, is stepping into a bold “New Era”, marking a major brand evolution spanning its menu, restaurant experience and New Brand Identity, all designed to build stronger connections with a new generation of consumers.

Bringing the concept to life for the first time in Thailand is KFC Siam Center, the country’s first Quality Experience Restaurant (QXR) model showcasing KFC’s evolution from Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) combining the speed and convenience consumers already know with more choice, hospitality, technology and personality.

Sasiphin Chantarasak, General Manager KFC Thailand, said: “For more than 42 years, KFC has grown alongside Thai consumers, and today we are ready to take the next step with New Era. This is not simply a refresh of our brand image, but an elevation of the KFC experience in every dimension, from our menu, restaurants and service to the way we connect with a new generation of consumers. This reinforces KFC as a brand that consumers continue to love, while creating more excitement and reaching younger consumers. Today, KFC has the largest number of branches nationwide, covering all 77 provinces, and we continue to expand our footprint, with a target of reaching 1,266 branches by the end of this year.”

At the heart of the New Era is a deeper understanding of Gen Z consumers, who want more than speed and convenience. They are looking for bold flavours, choice, flexibility and experiences that fit naturally into everyday life. That comes to the table through KFC’s Modern Menu, led by boneless chicken and a more customizable way to enjoy KFC. Customers can Season It with Garlic Parmesan, White Truffle or Zabb Spicy; Dunk It in Smoky BBQ, Seoul Hot or New Jai Ded; or Dip It into five sauces including Zabb Flavored Mayo, Corn with Cheese, Truffle Flavored Mayo, Original Ranch and Sour Honey Mustard.

KFC favourites including Double Down, Zinger Burger and Twister remain on the menu for easy Grab & Go occasions, while Siam Center also introduces new items including Scoop Fries and Matcha Mochi Egg Tart, both debuting at the restaurant.

Patra Patrasuwan, Associate Marketing Director KFC Thailand, said: “KFC’s New Era begins with the understanding that younger consumers want more than great-tasting food. They also want choice, fun and experiences that can reflect their individuality. We have therefore built on what consumers already love about KFC through the Modern Menu and new ways of enjoying our food, particularly boneless chicken, which fits today’s lifestyles, while giving everyone the opportunity to customise flavours in their own way through Season It, Dunk It and Dip It, as well as introducing new flavors developed specifically for Thai consumers.”

KFC’s Quality Experience Restaurant (QXR) model brings its New Brand Identity to life across every touchpoint, from store design and the modern, stylish and practical “Us-niform” to the Modern Menu and service experience for younger consumers. The journey is enhanced through Kiosks, Lobby Hosts who welcome customers, provide guidance and assist throughout their visit, and Just Pick Up, which allows customers to order ahead and collect their meals quickly and conveniently. KFC also extends beyond food to connect more closely with younger lifestyles through limited-edition Next-Gen Merchandise, including jackets, T-shirts, caps, gym bags and laptop bags, alongside refreshed icons such as Colonel Sanders, the Bucket, KFC logo and Finger Lickin’ Good. Together, these bring a more modern, fun and stylish expression to the brand while preserving the KFC DNA Thai consumers love.

Oranat Phakapornrat, Managing Director The QSR of Asia, said: “KFC New Era is about elevating the experience in a way that customers can genuinely feel at every touchpoint. KFC Siam Center serves as a Quality Experience Restaurant (QXR) concept, combining convenience, speed and technology with warm and attentive service, which remains at the heart of KFC. One of the areas we are placing particular importance on is the introduction of the new ‘Lobby Host’ role, which helps welcome and take care of customers while creating a closer connection with them. We believe that while technology can make the service experience more convenient and seamless, the heart of a great experience still comes from understanding and caring for customers.”

“As one of KFC Thailand’s major franchisees, overseeing more than 550 branches, we are proud to be part of taking KFC into a new dimension and contributing to the brand’s growth in a tangible way. Moving forward, we will continue to elevate restaurant standards and the customer experience so that every KFC branch can deliver the best possible experience and KFC can continue to be a brand that stays in consumers’ hearts across every generation.”

The opening of KFC Siam Center on 6 October 2026 drew crowds of fried chicken fans, fashion lovers and content creators, with the celebrations continuing through an exclusive party featuring Thai boy group PROXIE, including fan interactions, games and a mini concert.

We thank everyone who has been part of our success over the past 42 years, and we are ready to step into the new era of KFC together”
