22feet India gives Flipkart’s Big Billion Days TV campaign a dose of Indian mom wisdom
This Big Billion Days, Flipkart is giving consumers a reason to think ‘bigger’ when buying their new TV with a quirky new campaign. Conceptualised by 22feet, part of Omnicom Advertising India, the campaign, titled “Ek Size Bada Le Lo”, takes a familiar piece of motherly advice and gives it a new meaning in the context of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale. With Big Billion Days offering consumers the opportunity to upgrade to a bigger TV without a bigger bill, the campaign encourages them to think beyond their usual screen size this festive season.
The film draws from a simple childhood experience relatable to many Indians: mothers asking their children to buy clothes one size bigger, so that they can continue wearing them as they grow. Flipkart brings this relatable insight into the context of TV shopping, with a simple thought: while buying a size bigger usually means spending more, Big Billion Days is the time when consumers can bring home a bigger screen without stretching their budget.
Ishan Mehta, Executive Creative Director, 22feet said, “The insight of parents buying slightly oversized clothes felt so relatable. The creative unlock was using that mantra, typically reserved for apparels, for a category like large screen TVs. The result is a film that tells a universal story while finding a beautiful segue for Big Billion deals.”
The campaign uses humour, nostalgia and an instantly recognisable cultural insight to bring Flipkart’s BBD TV deals to life. As part of Flipkart’s annual Big Billion Days sale, the campaign reflects the creative approach to connecting festive offers with familiar consumer experiences.
The film will be amplified across digital platforms, reaching consumers as they explore Big Billion Days deals and consider their next big-ticket purchase.
