Cheil Worldwide appoints Volker Selle as Chief Operating Officer for Cheil Germany

Cheil Worldwide has appointed Volker Selle as Cheil Germany’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Cheil Volker Selle was CEO at Publicis Deutschland GmbH based in Frankfurt. During his tenure as CEO from 1999 to 2010 Selle was largely responsible for the reorganisation of the agency, setting up new business fields with CSR, PMOD Frankfurt – a digital business and Publicis retail with a focus in digital signage. He has also been successful in implementing a new business strategy for Publicis over the past six years. Selle is a member of the German management board (EXCOM.)

Selle was Managing Director at Publicis Frankfurt and was behind the merger of Publicis Frankfurt and Publicis into a holistic agency.

During 1999 to 2003, as founder and managing director of Publicis Dialog Frankfurt, he was able to successfully merge Publicis Dialog with Publicis Networks, bringing the internet business back to profitability.

Selle began his career in marketing and advertising as an account manager at Enders, Krakow, Radzyminski Werbeagentur in Frankfurt, and then went on to further his career at Wunderman Cato Johnson.
