Contributing to Leo Burnett’s “Agency of the Year” award were wins including the coveted theme award Seize the Change and a Best of Outdoor & Ambience for “The Organ Story” for True Corporation as well as 7 Golds, 5 Silvers and 6 Bronzes. The agency also picked up the inaugural People’s Vote award (awarded to the most popular idea in Thailand in 2011) for its TMB’s Panyee FC campaign.

Also having a good night at the Thai awards show was McCann Worldgroup who won the second of only two Best of Best gongs awarded – Best of Film for Thai Health Promotion Board “Sexuality Talk”

On-Usa Lamliengpol, Chairman, The Leo Burnett Group Thailand said: ” For
a market that has long been known for its strength in Print and TV
work, it is significant that our wins at Adman this year are for work
across categories including digital and interactive media – which is
aligned with where the rest of the world is going towards. We are very
proud to be recognized for being the leading trend in Thailand in
creating winning work beyond our traditional strengths and into the
categories of tomorrow.”

A total of 750 entries were submitted to Adman Awards 2011 – which is
currently in its 8th year- representing a 10% increase in submission
from last year. While the categories for most number of entries continue
to be led by TV (134), Print(125) and Outdoor (122), very
encouragingly, the categories for interactive and digital media saw the
biggest improvement to 107 (three times of last year’s number).
