AKQA lures Masaki Hamura out of Twitter to take up managing director role in Tokyo
AKQA has named Masaki Hamura as Managing Director of its Tokyo office. Hamura will lead the Tokyo team as they further develop their client portfolio.
Hamura (left) joins AKQA from Twitter, where he was Head of Brand Strategy, East Asia. Before this, he worked at Google Japan as Head of Sales Strategy and Operations, and was General Manager of the iPhone Business Promotion Office at Softbank Mobile.

AKQA Tokyo opened in 2012 as the company’s 11th office worldwide, with Nike and Nissan as founding clients.
