Adam Hemming named SMA 2014 Chairman
4As Singapore has named Adam Hemming as Singapore Media Awards (SMA) 2014 Chairman.
Hemming has over twelve years experience in the media industry having been focused on driving digital adoption at the agencies he has led.
Currently Hemming heads ZenithOptimedia Singapore as CEO, an agency that has become renowned for its digital excellence alongside its strength in media planning and buying. He is now at the forefront of driving increasingly diverse services for ZenithOptimedia such as digital creative, content and analytics.
As part of the SMA 10th anniversary celebrations, and honouring its long-term commitment to the development of young talents for the Singapore media and communications industry, Hemming announced it will be making a major contribution in the field of media education.
Beginning with SMA 2014, awarded media campaigns will be made available as case studies on the association’s portal. “The new platform will foster a more vibrant online community, students and academia will have the opportunity to explore the strategies and execution that drive game changing campaigns, and interact with media professionals whom they admire”, said Hemming.
SMA will partner Hyper Island Singapore to introduce SMA NexGen in July this year. An exciting inter-agency digital competition for young media professionals in agencies and media students in tertiary institutions, teams of two will be given 48 hours, to create a media campaign, in response to a brief by a real-life client, whose name, objectives and target audience are not revealed till the brief for the pitch.
A panel of industry experts will judge the submissions and shortlist teams for a presentation to the client. The winner will be announced and awarded at the SMA 2014 Award Show & Gala Dinner in August.
