DDB Group Singapore wins film category at MediaCorp’s Young Creatives Awards

AikTiao Tay.jpgDDB Group Singapore’s Tay Aik Tiao’s entry has emerged as the winner in the film category at the MediaCorp Young Lions 2014 awards. Since 2012, young talent from DDB Group Singapore has been consistently winning MediaCorp’s Young Creatives Competition, and representing Singapore at the prestigious Young Lions Competition at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Tay Aik Tiao, a copywriter at DDB Group Singapore, collaborated with longtime friend and school mate, He Rui Ming, a writer at Tusitala, to create their winning entry entitled ‘Loved Ones’.

“Young talent like Aik Tiao is the future not just of our agency but also the industry. We are very proud of Aik Tiao and hope that he will do Singapore proud in Cannes,” said Joji Jacob, Group Executive Creative Director, DDB Group Singapore.

A total of 38 teams took part in a 48-hour shootout to address the brief provided by Save The Children. The winning teams will get the opportunity to represent Singapore at the Young Lions Competition, at the the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity which will be held in France from 15 to 21 June.  MediaCorp is the Singapore representative for Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The Young Creative Competition seeks to nurture budding creative talents in the local advertising scene. The winning work and teams were selected by a panel of leading creatives in Singapore.
