“Cynthia is a true talent in the world of production,” says Claire Davidson, Managing Director & Executive Producer of The Sweet Shop Asia/MENA. “Her experience has given her a very realistic view and understanding of the industry, and more importantly where it’s headed. She’s a forward thinking problem solver and we’re all very excited to have her on-board.”

A native of Indonesia and then a graduate of the Media Studies program at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University), Agustina (pictured) got her first taste for the industry while working as a Production Coordinator for Square Box Cinetech, a leading Indonesian television company. Her strong work ethic and ability to creatively solve problems helped her move quickly up the ranks to the position of Producer where she worked on various local and international commercial projects. Well-versed in every facet of production, Agustina’s expertise saw her working on projects from every possible angle including budgeting, team management, post-production and client relations, seamlessly helping clients and creatives move their vision from concept to final form.

Later, Agustina joined Cinered Asia, a Jakarta based post-production house. Her efforts during this time were influential in the growth of the company and helped to lead to their eventual rebranding as the more widely known Blupost Asia. Since then, Agustina has focused on freelance producing as well as working in talent recruitment, helping to meet the needs of her multinational clients by partnering them with the top talents in their various markets.

“I’m thrilled to be able to join the Asia team to help bolster The Sweet Shop’s growing presence in the region,” says Agustina of her decision to join The Sweet Shop. “I believe that new technology brings new ways of working. Where geography used to be an obstacle, it is now an asset. The Sweet Shop’s global model is helping to drive the industry toward a bright future and I’m thrilled to be a part of it!”

Also an accomplished writer, Agustina has published pieces in Maxim Magazine Indonesia as well as co-authored the book “I Beg Your Prada” with Alexandra Dewi.

Agustina’s signing is yet another example of The Sweet Shop’s ongoing desire to develop leading-edge talent with skills spread across the industry.
