Seven Sundays has added Italian filmmaker Leonardo Dalessandri to their roster for exclusive representation in Indonesia. Dalessandri (pictured left) is an incredibly talented rising star of the film world, and despite his relatively youth has already amassed an impressive array of commercials and music videos to his name.
He is most renowned for the Watchtower series, a series of short-form expressive travel documentaries, which have amassed a dedicated viral following on Vimeo and YouTube and have garnered over 60 million views worldwide. Watchtower of Turkey (2014) was selected by Vimeo as the Best Vimeo Video of 2014, and was also featured in Apple’s Keynote presentation at NAB 2015.
Dalessandri began his career after graduating film school in Palma, Italy, as an assistant under renowned Italian DOP Filippo Chiesa. Since branching out into directing his career has flourished, and he has made a number documentaries, commercials and music videos, as well as promo videos for national tourism agencies. Recent clients have included the Ministry of Health, Google, Coca-Cola and the United Nations Environment Program.
Dalessandri is inspired by his curiosity to discover culture, and in particular the people of the culture. In addition to his commercial work he likes to do one personal project each year, and is currently working to complete his newest projects on China and Qatar.
