Airbnb “Night At” global platform launches in China in collaboration with TBWA and Auditoire

London Room.jpgAirbnb’s “Night At” global campaign consists of transforming iconic spaces around the world into homes for one night, allowing guests to spend an iconic night in an absolutely unique location. This time, the “Night At” was brought to China, where one lucky couple had the opportunity to win a stay at the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, experiencing the possibilities of travelling the world with Airbnb: they would literally have the world at their feet.

New York Room.jpgTokyo Room.jpgLocated in the refurbished revolving restaurant of the tower, the bedroom evolved throughout the night, going from an industrial loft in NY to a classy Knightsbridge apartment, finishing with a traditional Tokyo tatami living room. For each location, the OPT windows showed reflections of each city, beautifully merging with the transparency of Shanghai’s night skyline. The host for the night was non-other than China’s first bona fide supermodel – Liu Wen, with her presence at the world’s biggest runways, she has the world at her feet.

Joanne Lao, CEO of TBWA\Greater China remarked, “We are thrilled to partner with Airbnb. We share the same disruptive spirit and are very excited to work together to support the brand’s goals in China.”

“Successful campaigns are defined by the combination of unique live experiences and outstanding communication strategies,” said Antoine Gouin, Managing Director of Auditoire Asia. “Airbnb has innovated the approach of what we traditionally called travelling. It is a true privilege for Auditoire to take part in Airbnb China’s first ‘Night At’,” he added.

Gouin continued, “Due to the unique venue and limited set up time, our team had to face a series of technical and organizational challenges. The positive results and outcomes are an outstanding achievement.”
